Frequently Asked Questions

We love speaking with you but time does not always permit! Here are the most frequently asked questions. We hope they answer your inquiries.

The workshop

Is it mandatory to participate in a Climate Fresk workshop to participate in a Digital Collage?

No, it is not.
Nevertheless, we still strongly recommend that you also participate in a Climate Fresk workshop to better understand the key subject of climate disruption. If you wish to become a Digital Collage Facilitator, it is indeed an obligation. To register for a Climate Fresk workshop in English, please click here.

How long is the workshop?

The workshop lasts half a day, at least 3 hours and we recommend 3.5 hours.
The workshop is long but it remains very dense! The “Collage” pedagogy requires time to discover new information as you go, discuss with the other participants, make mistakes, correct them...
It’s hard to fit into an agenda but participants don’t see the time pass by!

Can the workshop be shorter?

No. The “Collage” pedagogy is not suitable to a shorter timing, except for the 2h junior version.

What is the minimum age to participate in the workshop?

The regular workshop is for people aged 15 and above. There is a junior version for young people from 10 to 15 years old.

Does the workshop exist in other languages?

The workshop is available in French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Dutch and soon Italian and Chinese. Other translations will come based on your needs and our resources.

Where can the Digital Collage cards be downloaded?

The cards are made available to the facilitators who have been trained to run the workshop, in pdf format. They are also sold by the association to the facilitators.

Participate in a public workshop

I can't register, what's happening?

If you are unable to register, it is probably because the session is full. On billetweb, the registration platform we mainly use, when all the places are taken it is written "full" at the bottom right of the booking box.
We advise you to come back to the website in a few days to find a session that suits you, we add new sessions regularly both in-person and online. However, we don’t have visibility over future sessions as they depend on the availability of our voluntary facilitators. Therefore, we cannot answer you if you write to us about this.

I think I registered for a session but I didn't receive any confirmation email, is it normal?

No. Check your spam, and if you can't find anything there it's probably because the registration process was not completed.
You are supposed to receive a confirmation email from billetweb as soon as you register, and then you will receive an email from the facilitator with detailed information a few days before your session.

All sessions seem to be full, when will there be new ones?

We will post new dates for the public workshops on this site as soon as they are scheduled. However we don’t have visibility over future sessions as they depend on the availability of our voluntary facilitators. Therefore, we cannot answer you if you write to us about this.

Can I be warned when new sessions will be available?

No, sorry. We do not have an automated alert system. We advise you to come back to the site in a few days to find a session that suits you, we add new sessions for public workshops regularly both in-person and online.

We are several people from the same company. Can we register in a public session? It's way less expensive than a service!

No.
Public workshops are for individuals. Professional participants are only accepted on a trial basis, maximum 1 representative from the same company. If you wish to organize a workshop in your organization, an intervention in the form of a service by a commercial entity independent of the association is possible, please visit the "Companies and public organizations" page of our website for more information.

I have already participated in a workshop, I would now like to be trained as a facilitator, how can I do this?

After your workshop, you should have received an email from your facilitator, with the necessary information to register for a Digital Collage Facilitation training.
If you wish to facilitate the workshop for a professional purpose, here are the training steps that you will need to take.

Organize a dedicated session

I would like to organize a Digital Collage for a non-profit or during a public event, how to proceed?

Contact us! There are a lot of Digital Collage facilitators. We will help you identify a team of voluntary facilitators. Alternatively, you can also participate in a workshop and then be trained to run a Digital Collage yourself!

I am a teacher and I would like to organize a Digital Collage for my teacher colleagues or students, how to proceed?

For universities and high school, Contact us directly.
The Digital Collage is not suitable for participants under the age of 10.
You can also manage this on your own: take part in a workshop and then be trained to run a Digital Collage yourself.

I want to organize a Digital Collage in my company or public organization, how to proceed?

This is only possible if you become an accredited professional facilitator of the association "La Fresque du Numérique". For more details and to know the necessary prerequisites, go to the page "Companies and public organizations" of our website.

I meet the requirements to become an accredited professional facilitator, how should I proceed to facilitate in a professional setting??

Contact us! You will need to fill in an online form, in which you certify on your honour that you meet the prerequisites. The association La Fresque du Numérique will then send you the sub-license contract to sign. After receiving your signed sub-license, the association will confirm by email that you have been approved as a professional facilitator.

The project

How to become a facilitator?

To become a volunteering Digital Collage facilitator, you need to:
- participate in a Digital Collage workshop
- participate in a Climate Fresk workshop. For a Climate Fresk public session in English, please click here.
- (within 6 months after your Digital Collage workshop) participate in a training course to become a Digital Collage facilitator (you will receive the registration link by email after participating in a workshop).
If you wish to facilitate the workshop for a professional purpose, here are the additional training steps that you will need to take.

I am already a facilitator for the Climate Fresk, can I facilitate a Digital Collage now?

No, but congratulations for your action in the facilitation of the Climate Fresk!
The pedagody of the workshop is similar but the subject and the facilitation are different, so it is important to train on the facilitation of the Digital Collage. To become a Digital Collage facilitator, you must also:
1. participate in a full Digital Collage workshop,
2. then register for a training course to become a facilitator.

After being trained as a facilitator, will I be able to facilitate in my company or public organization, or facilitate in other companies/public organizations?

No. In order to guarantee quality facilitations, additional requirements are necessary (details here) and an agreement must be signed with the association before being able to facilitate in a professional setting.

Are you a charity/non-profit organization?

Yes, since December 2020 we are an association! We are composed of 11 board members and 4.000 voluntary facilitators. Our goal is to ensure a wide diffusion of the Digital Collage in order to raise awareness on the environmental problems of the digital sector, and to promote any action which contributes to move towards a more sustainable digital sector. Beyond the digital sector, we want to contribute to a global awareness of environmental issues, and thus accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable society.

This project is amazing! Can I help?

Yes, with pleasure!
Once trained as a facilitator, you can join the internal slack workspace and contribute in many ways to the project! We have several working groups and many needs for voluntary facilitation for the general public, educational institutions and other associations and non-profits.
